Let's chat about my weekend because that's what bloggers are supposed to do on Monday's, right? Just say yes and we'll move on.
Friday was exciting for me because the super belated birthday gift I got for Erin finally made it's appearance in New York. See, it was belated because I really drew a blank on what to get her. That was until I found the best friend bracelets from Alex & Ani. AKA My newest addiction. Gimme all of da Alex & Ani bracelets!
I picked myself up a Leo bracelet when I got Erin's birthday present, too... and then I got the peace bracelet this weekend. Like I said, addicted. And scary, for my bank account.
Oh oh, also when I got home from work on Friday I came home to a package from Fifth & Mae. Seriously obsessed with their jewelry and I definitely stalk their site for updated merchandise on the regular.
Friday night I had plans to frolic my happy ass around downtown Orlando with my bestie, Amanda. We did a little bar hopping and celebrating a friend's birthday. Totally didn't hate it.
So, you can't tell in this pic but I rocked this fabulous pleather peplum top from Target and I'm kind of in love with it. I never really hopped aboard the peplum train but I suppose there's a first for everything. Or maybe I'm just always a day late on the trends. Yeah, probably that.
Saturday I had plans to have a girls retail therapy day with my mama and we did just that. Starting at Cheesecake Factory for lunch, which was delish as always. We also got "skinnilicious" mojitos because, you know, when you're doing retail therapy you have to let loose just a little bit.
Check out those food blogging skillz.
I ended up spending way too much money but I suppose that was to be expected. For some reason I feel like I can justify buying myself things right now since my birthday is next week. Ooops.
When I got home from shopping I took myself a three hour nap. What??? Guess I needed to catch up on some sleep, or something. I felt like a new damn woman when I woke up, that's fo sho.
Once I woke up it was time to get ready for downtown round 2 for a friend's going away party... Which ended up being so. much. fun. I got my dance on all night long, so much so that I had to put the hairz up. You know you got down with your bad self when the hairz go up.
And because I absolutely suck at being a blogger, I didn't even get a full view of my outfit. So, I recreated it thanks to interwebz photos, for your viewing pleasure.
Sunday I bummed around the house for a hot minute, thanks to all of the fun I had Saturday night. My Ella girl was all about this bumming.
Well, that was until I got my happy ass up to get a snack and saw the sunshine peeking through my window. You know what that means...
I spent a few hours (see also: the time it takes to drink two Tervis' full of Chardonnay) relaxing by the pool, tweeting absolutely ridiculous things. My bad.
And that pretty much wraps up my weekend in a blog post.
Time to go do the Monday morning pretend-I'm-working thing.
