Find Yourself A Pageant Girl

Hey friends, bet you didn't think you'd be seeing another post from me today, didja? Well, you were partially right, this post is not written by me. It's written by my lawyer friend slash sponsor, Catherine. Enjoy!

Hi y'all! I'm Catherine from Bailey Dailies! I am a lawyer in my little town in northern Alabama and sadly, I don't get to wear yoga pants to work. I would pay money to do so if I could, though, because I love to be nice and comfy! Of course, I do love getting all fancy and dolled up but what girl doesn't? I have had to be super fancy lately because my sister was Miss Alabama USA in the Miss USA pageant in Vegas (hello first runner up!!!) and I couldn't be Miss Alabama's dowdy 29 year old lawyer sister, am I right? Anyway, aside from that pageant craziness, my blog is just about my life with my husband and our 4 fur babies. You'll find posts about our weekend, places we travel, recipes, random things I'm thinking about, and lots of pics of our furry critters. We just put our house on the market and are looking for an upgrade, so I'm hopefully about to have lots of fun design posts in the coming months! 

Anyway, since last month was all about my sister on my blog, I'm going to give you a quick run down of why you too should try to be a pageant sister, or at least maybe find a pageant girl you can cling to:

1. You get to take a whole week off of work to go to Vegas and your boss (aka dad) can't get mad. 

(He also can't get mad about the day you took off to take her to the airport, or the one you took off to shop)

2. People always come up and congratulate you on your sister's accomplishments and then make sure to add that "you are pretty too". 

Minus the height difference, I'm pretty sure you can tell we are sisters.

3. You get to buy LOTS of new clothes, shoes, purses, make up, hair products, etc because you simply can't go to Vegas looking like you are a 29 year old lawyer from Alabama while staying in a hotel with 51 pageant girls. Your husband may get mad about this but he can't say anything about it because it is for your sister.  I mean, if your sister needs you too look good by purchasing $18 hair spray he really can't deny her, right? 

See those awesome curls and that cute sparkly dress? That don't come for free, husband!

4. You are automatically cool because you are "Alabama's sister" (or whatever state it may be) and so the pageant peeps invite you to all kinds of pageant soirees and you get to do lots of fun Vegas stuff for free.

See these regular people in the pool? Well I was breaking it down on stage, next to the DJ, with free bottle service. (Mind you, had we not been pageant "VIPs", we wouldn't have even made it into this pool--no way, not ever. Thanks for that, sister.)

5. You get to meet and stalk tons of celebs all the while trying to keep your cool! 

Obvious first celeb is my sis (that's me with her and my brother) and then we have the Property Brothers, Donald Trump's head, Shanna Moakler, Pauly D, 2 Jonas Brothers, Mo Rocca, and a Duck Dynasty guy!
