You see, Erin and I managed to get one solid question this time around and that question was "how do you know each other?". Now, I'm pretty sure I've made it no secret here that I hide my blog from 98% of my real life and I'm pretty sure Erin is close behind in that super accurate statistic.
Sooo, what do we do when we're placed with this question?
Um, well, actually we freeze and make things as awkward as humanly possible. I'm talking full on blank, deer in the headlights, stare for minutes on end until everyone around is so confused they begin to try and fill in the blank for us.
Did you guys go to school together? Yep.
Did you guys work together? Yep. That's it. Except this time I forgot to clue Erin in and she was slightly thrown off by the whole story and still had the lost puppy face on.
Are you guys related? Yep. Cousins, actually. The idiot who was pegging us for answers this time most definitely regrets it after Erin said something along the lines of "I'm tired of talking to you.". It was pretty fricken brilliant and had about 5 people in stitches from laughing so hard.
To Erin: Did you used to live here? Errrr... no...
Really, the list goes on and on. And on. And every time we just kind of sat there in blank stares. We then realized we're just really not so great at the whole cover up thing and we probably should have come up with a back story before.
I don't know why we weren't faced with this more when I was in NYC so we could have been prepared. I guess people were just too busy with wondering if we were sisters? Who knows.
Anyways, moral of this story, my friends. If you are going to meet your Blogland Buds and the people around you aren't familiar with your blogging-ego, go ahead and come up with a backstory prior to. Really though.
And now it's time to back our azz's up and this week I'm keeping the Erin tradition alive by using a song we shockingly jammed to and enjoyed all 5 days she was here. Enjoy!
It's #backthatazzup Friday!
The purpose: To start our weekend with some fantastic jams.
The station that inspired it: "Back That Azz Up" on Pandora Radio.
The rules: Link your jams up and have a jam sesh with all of us!
