The Freschetta brand of pizza has introduced the new FRESCHETTA® By the Slice. It's the same great taste as the regular full-size Freschetta pizza; but now you can buy a slice of the pie instead of the whole pie. This works great for taking a couple pieces to work for lunch. It's also a great idea for those times when you're only cooking for one!
The pizza is done in minutes and has the same premium ingredients and oven-baked taste, but from the microwave.
I was a little leery about microwaving my pizza; generally I don't think it tastes that great being microwaved as it usually comes out a little rubbery. So I was pleasantly surprised by the texture and taste of the FRESCHETTA® By the Slice pizza. While I think there is a slight difference between the taste of the by the slice piece and one that comes directly from the oven, overall it passed my test! The crust didn't have that rubbery microwaved taste to it.
FRESCHETTA® By the Slice comes in four varieties: BBQ Recipe Chicken; Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom; Six Cheese Medley; and Vegetable Medley. I tried the Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom (admittedly I don't like mushrooms, so I did pick those off ... but I really liked the chicken and spinach!)
