A World Without Thieves

Synopsis: Hong Kong luminary Andy Lau stars as a thieving swindler in A World Without Thieves. Suspenseful action on board a train sets the scene for a battle ground for pickpockets, competing for the same loot. The thieves deftly outsmart each other along the course of the journey seeing the loot change hands several times before returning to its rightful owner.

Professional con-artist couple Wang Bo (Andy Lau) and Wang Li (Rene Liu) spend their days pulling off elaborate scams. The two head towards the Tibetan border to their next ‘job’ at a Buddhist temple, where Wang Li suddenly announces she wants to quit the swindling and become a better person for the sake of their unborn child. A rift between the couple forces Wang Li to hitch a ride to the nearest train station with Dumbo, a naive monastery carpenter heading home with his life savings to start a family. Drama unfolds when Dumbo becomes the prey of a gang of master thieves on the train journey, propelling the Bonnie and Clyde duo to reunite to protect him. [From worldmovies.net]
