Ok, so ProFlowers sent me a spam email this morning with a similar subject line and I couldn't resist. I still deleted the email so there's a good chance many people skipped by this link-up post but it made me laugh and so I copied. 

Moving on, I need to thank each and every one of you who commented on yesterday's post. I absolutely love how much closer it brought me to so many of you and for that it was worth putting the things that make me vulnerable out on the interwebz for everyone and their dog to see. You all are amazing and make this blogging experience so rewarding and fulfilling.

If you remember, on Monday, I posted my attempt at heart shaped bacon. Here's the pin and it really works. Also, cooking bacon in the oven? GENIUS! No grease jumping up and burning your eyeball means A+ in my book. Go make this chick's heart bacon.

I swear if I attempt to make these for someone and they don't turn out exactly like this, I'm going to personally send an email the original creator with a photo of my effed up attempt next to her finished product and make her explain it to me until they look identical. I would be absolutely terrified to use these beauties but they're stunning and so I need to give them to someone as a gift.

So, I only pinned this because, I assume, the boo was trying to get something out of me yesterday when he sent me the quote and said that it reminded him of us. So sweet, right? I haven't figured out what it is that he wanted yet but I have a good feeling I already know... uhemmmm. Anyways, it inspired a craft project for our house - which I started yesterday and realized that it's actually going to take all weekend to finish. Stay tuned...

Oh, How Pinteresting Failures...

Hey loves, I'm posting a linkup at 3 in the afternoon. Lezbihonest and call this what it is, a total blogging fail. I have an excuse though, prom prom. I was out of town for work... ok, and maybe I got a little tipsy on the vino with my boo's mama last night. It's true, not only was she sweet enough to let me stay the night even though I was without her beloved offspring, she had wine and spaghetti waiting for me when I got done working. Such a peach that woman is. Loves.

Anyways, I'm going to do a fail rendition of Michelle's infamous Oh, How Pinteresting link-up because who doesn't love a good Pinterest fail?

First up, Pecan Pie Cupcakes -

Bless my heart. I worked my ass of trying to make these stupid cupcakes because the boo's daddio loves him some pecan pie. The frosting wouldn't thicken and it just drooped down the sides of the cupcakes like slime. It was a disaster and a total fail Pinterest attempt.

Ha. haha. hahaha! I don't even know why I even thought I would be capable of perfect dots. Whoever this chick is, she's got mad patience. I did 2 nails and I wanted to scream at a kitten in the face. It was just horrible.

Well, this was just disturbing. It probably would have been delicious if the breadcrumbs didn't make it feel like you were picking up edamame pods covered in soggy bread. It was... awkward. Breadcrumbs and edamame = bad combination. F'realz.

This was horridly sweet. Like sugar water. I wanted to die every time I took a sip of this crap. Oh, and don't you dare get any on your skin because you will feel like a sloppy little toddler after they suck on a lollipop. SO STICKY. I'll stick with plain wine next time, thanks.

When Pinterest Fails You

So, today I'm going to show you the sad, sad hair-do I am rocking right now thanks to our beloved website, Pinterest.

The Unicorn Braid:

The pin I saw was so cute, like really, really cute. My attempt? The opposite of cute. This looks like my 3 year old niece did my hair - or maybe my 5 year old nephew. It looks nothing like the original pinner promised.

So, I guess fine, blonde hair is not ideal for this "braid", or what? It's not even a real braid and I'm actually capable braiding! I'd be lying if I said this was the first Pinterest fail I've experienced but, come on, how easy does this chick make this hair style look?! Bah humbug. Damn you, Pinterest.

And for a good laugh, let's all look at my WORST Pinterest hair fail of all time. It's REALLY, really (really really really) bad.

THE WORST!!!!

In this particular pin I was instructed to divide my hair into multiple different braids and run a flat iron over them. Once the hair was cooled I was to take the braids out and the hair was supposed to be perfectly wavy. 

ha. haha! Good one, Pinterest. Those are some PERFECT waves if I've ever seen them. Or not. No, definitely not even close.

I wish I could find the original pin for this one to share with you all but it doesn't seem to be on any of my boards any longer. My guess is it got deleted for the massive amount of disappointment it caused. 

As frustrating as they are, I do love a good Pinterest fail. Which fails have you all experienced lately?

Riding boots. I needz em. F'realzies. 'Specially those Tory beauties in the bottom right corner. Yeah, I see you, pretty babies. (If any of you feel so inclined to purchase these boots for me, I'm a size 9... but will squeeze in a 8 or 8 1/2 - or swim in a 9 1/2 or 10 if need be.)
