"P. O. W."

And she won't run.
And I will capture.
And it's light fun;
But there's no laughter.

High noon
Following the sunrise
that crept in after the moon.
She makes the platoon swoon.
Delicate and fine;
But she requests front line.
Top tier volunteer.
My cheerful concubine.
She's my favorite soldier;
Especially when heat smolders.
Soft, sweaty skin glistens.
I command. She listens.
I demand. She supplies
With lowered eyes, full hands,
Bent knees, full mouth
And an ambition void of doubt.

And we don't race.
But I chase after.
And I keep pace.
And I will snatch her.

Headboard and four pegs.
I love the way it feels.
Camouflage across her legs.
Soft, leather laced heels
That never grace the minefield.
Drove through her delicate domain
With little ease for pain.
I patrol her plains.
Shell shocked from the stains.
Soft, sticky shards.
Withdrew my fleet. Caught off guard.
More seductive shrapnel
Than one private can tackle.
Invasion at her post.
Crashed against the coast
With artillery to boast.

And she's out there.
And the air is muggy.
And she always dies;
But it's not bloody.

She throws silent shade.
Stealthy sonar grenades.
Soaked but heat seeking
Lodged in throats demeaning.
She trades belligerent blade
With the butterscotch brigade.
My jar head remains pretty
While scoping in on the prissy.
My sergeant hits her shimmy
Without moving her feet.
Under her quilted tent of sheets
is a meal ready to eat.
Treading trenches few have seen
Taking sips from her canteen.
She accepts every directive
And fulfills her prime objective.

And I touch down.
And she will report.
And she makes rounds.
And there's no retort.

Right to left boot.
One precedes the other.
I don't want the troops.
I don't need another.
Purporting stalwart diligence
Even if it claims her innocence.
At the top of every list.
As if nothing else exists.
Pledging her allegiance
To the utmost appeasement.
That's an order.
Stood still through squalls
Like she doesn't feel water.
Sun scorches like mortar.
Before taking it further,
She begs for me to hurt her.
How sick is this cadet?
Ringing wet with vigor.
She wont shake or shiver
Until I stand and deliver.
Lips quiver,
But no frown.
She won't break down.
She loves it.
Seething with anger.
Dashing through danger.
G.I. with geisha hair
Running this gauntlet affair.
She climbs endless stairs.
An audience of endless stares
As she bores through bare
And she really doesn't care.
Left. Right.
Warm days.
Not nights.
She says it feels right.
Devotion of emotions
So extreme, they're deemed obscenity.
Confinement is her liberty.
She lusts after captivity.

And it still rains.
There are still flames.
And there's no shame.
Just some war games.

Proof. Just in case you needed some. ;)

And now I will continue on with my Friday posting by writing some letters.

Photobucket

Dear Boyfriend, thank you for grilling out for me last night because I was craving your ribs. They were delicious as always. Also, thank you for those sexy, beefy arms of yours. Meow. Love, me.

Dear Pick Your Plum, I've now started ordering the most random things from you, like these cute straws. I legitimately have no use for them but I couldn't sway myself from the $3 price tag. I don't hate you but, damn, you make it so hard to stay away. Mama needs to go make more monies to afford you. GroopDealz, Very Jane, and Jewlery Nut Auctions this goes for you three, too.

Dear Mama, I'm really glad you are cool enough to appreciate my giving you a case of Cupcake Chardonnay for your birthday. I was slightly nervous you were going to think it was a cop out, but really I just wanted to shower you in delicious vino.

Dear High Buns, please don't go out of style soon. You're too easy and cute. I think I love you.

Short and sweet today. So happy it's Friday! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

Just Dance!

Penulis : Unknown on Thursday, 9 August 2012 | 19:08

Thursday, 9 August 2012

There are 2 big social events at the NDSC Convention - the dances. There is a dance on Friday night for the Welcoming/Opening Reception, and then Saturday night's Just Dance event.

They aren't quite kid-friendly. For one they go from 9-11pm. A very late bedtime and then an early wake-up time the next morning for workshops that start at 0830 aren't the best for kids.

Plus they are well-attended (crowded). Which is great! And loud.
We bring our kids to continue to expose them to that atmosphere and for the most part they handle it fairly well.

Usually when we first arrive in the room they cover their ears saying it's too loud.

We stay on the outskirts of the dance floor and try to meet up with friends who also have younger kids and eventually they start dancing.

After a bit of dancing we usually find a spot away from the dance floor, but where we can still hear the music, and play with friends. They end up having a great time... and then near the end tell us they are tired and want to go to sleep.

Joe and I even get on in on the dancing fun!

These are such fun dances ... just wish they could start at 8 instead of 9 for the younger crowd.

That dolla makes me holla!

What I'm about to write about may cause my follower count to drop dramatically, but I need to confess...

I purposely set my DVR to remind me to watch this train wreck last night. Seriously though, I couldn't resist the temptation of watching a bunch of red necks talk gibberish for 30 minutes after I drank a couple glasses of wine. It didn't disappoint. Even C gave me the death stare when I turned off the Olympics for this trashness, but once it started and they introduced "Sugar Bear" he was equally hooked.

Complete with a pet pig, stock piles in every room and a pregnant 17 year old. Yeah, safe to say this will become my new Wednesday night trash. How ever will I fit it in once So You Think You Can Dance comes back on?

Please tell me at least one of you became victim to this sleazy delight with me?

It's a Celebration!

Penulis : Unknown on Wednesday, 8 August 2012 | 06:11

Wednesday, 8 August 2012

Good morning everyone and happy humpday! Today is an exciting day here on my little blog for two reasons. One, it's my mom's birthday!! Two, yesterday I hit 100 followers and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm really thankful for those of you who follow along with me and leave sweet comments on my ridiculous ramblings each day, so I'm going to have a little giveaway in this post. I'm not making a big deal out of it because I want those of you who really do click through and read to have a chance to win a little something I think a lot of you showed interest in yesterday. ;)

First things first...
Happy birthday, Boskita!
I am singing a virtual happy birthday (she knows that's better than my actual singing) to this lady for being the most fantastic mama on the planet! She goes by Boskita, most days... just roll with it. She's the reason for my love of wine and, of course, the reason for who I am today. I love you, mama, you are the most fabulous 50 21 year old I know!

Let's all laugh at this hilarious portrait... and if anyone submits this to one of those terrible family photo websites I want a link.

This is what I looked like when I graduated high school. I swear, I was stuck in my awkward phase forever. But doesn't my mama look fab?! You go, mama!

So much to celebrate today, right? Well, I woke up in an exceptional mood this morning, quite possibly because I went to bed at 9am last night, but I got a crazy idea. I want to give someone a WOOZIE. You ladies enjoyed my new woozie so much yesterday, I want to share the love. No one likes warm wine!... unless it's red, well... I put ice in my red. I'm so classy.

Win it!!

I'm going to be giving this gorgeous Woozie away to one of you lovely ladies reading this right now! I may have ordered one of these for myself too... oops. Seriously though, thank you so much for helping me build my little blog and making me feel so loved with all of your kind words. I can't express how much I love chatting with you all via Twitter and blogs each day - I'm having a blast! I decided to expand today on Facebook and am hoping some of you will head over there with me too! It isn't a mandatory entry, because I know some of you aren't Facebook lovers, but if you are I'd love to see you over there!

This giveaway is a short one to avoid giveaway whores so be sure to enter before Friday morning! Good luck and thank you sooo much, again.
